Skoda Superb Safety Features
Passenger protection was a design and engineering priority for Skoda throughout the Superb’s development, and as a result, it is equipped with an array of passive and active safety features, and has achieved a five-star EuroNCAP rating for passenger protection.
All Superb models are fitted with seven airbags as standard. Passengers in the front are protected by twin front and side airbags, plus two additional curtain airbags and a new driver’s knee airbag. For the first time in a Superb, a pair of side airbags are available for rear seat passengers (as an option), bringing the total number of airbags available to nine.
In terms of electronic safety features, all Superb models are fitted a new ESP (Electronic Stability Programme) system as standard. This complex network of safety programmes includes anti-lock braking, ASR anti-spin regulation and MSR engine drag control. The Superb also features a number of new safety systems.
